British Vogue Appoints Edward Enninful As Its New Editor
Edward Enninful has been announced as the next Editor-in-chief of British Vogue. Enninful will take the reins from the current Editor-in-chief, Alexandra Shulman, who has been at the helm of the publication for over 25 years, becoming the magazines first male editor.
Enninful started his fashion career in London at the age of 16. By 19, he was fashion director for international publication, i-D magazine, the youngest in the title's history. He has contributed extensively on Italian Vogue and American Vogue, and has been widely celebrated as a champion of diversity and one of the most influential figures in the industry. To add to his many accolades, last October he was given an OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) for his contribution to fashion. Enninful will begin his editorship on 1 August 2017 leaving his appointment as fashion and creative director at W Magazine and succeeding, Alexandra Shulman.
