London Fashion Week Round Up - FW/2017

This past week we have had London Fashion Week, which has showcased bags of creativity. The 65th edition of London Fashion Week, which had it’s new home down at The Store Studios, the strand - featured 51 catwalk shows and 32 presentations.

Here are some highlights:

International Woolmark Prize winner Teatum Jones opened LFW with a standalone catwalk show. Simone Rocha, winner of British Womenswear Designer at The Fashion Awards presented her new collection on Saturday evening.  BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund winner Sophia Webster hosted a presentation for her new collection on Monday.

British, internationally celebrated designers such as Antonio Berardi, Anya Hindmarch, Charlotte Olympia, Christopher Kane, J.W. Anderson, Margaret Howell, Marques’Almeida, Mary Katrantzou, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi,  Temperley London among others, showcased their designs. Hussein Chalayan, who has presented his collections in Paris for over a decade, returned to London Fashion Week schedule with his collection exploring "isolated individuals."

120 designers showcased in the Designer Showrooms at The Store Studios, 180 Strand and the schedule also featured the brightest emerging design talent from the BFC’s NEWGEN initiative: Ashley Williams, Faustine Steinmetz, Marta Jakubowski, Molly Goddard, Paula Knorr and Sadie Williams.

Now with London Fashion Week over, the creative community is gearing up for Paris Fashion Week, which starts from February 28th and runs through to March 8th.
